NJDOT Announces Innovative
Funding Agreement with Middlesex County
The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) announced an innovative funding agreement with Middlesex County for a project to upgrade the intersection of Raritan Center Parkway and Woodbridge Avenue in Edison.
Under this agreement, NJDOT will provide funding to Middlesex County over a four year period to upgrade the current signalized intersection with a full grade separated intersection. It is anticipated the project will take approximately one year to complete.
"We're very pleased that the Middlesex County Freeholders have provided authorization for the County to enter into this agreement," said Transportation Commissioner Frank J. Wilson. "This project will be a showcase for what can be accomplished through cooperation between various levels of government. Working together, we can advance important infrastructure improvements that provide a foundation for continued growth and economic development in our state."
