Statement by DOT on Assembly Resolution 114
The Department has previously gone on record as saying that we would do everything within our power to complete the assessment of the HOV lanes sooner than 12 months. We have not changed our position. Hours of operation, length of the HOV lanes and whether the reverse HOV lanes on I-287 and I-80 should remain are all matters under review by DOT. We appreciate the efforts of Assemblymen Decroce and Gregg in bringing relief to New Jersey motorists and to reinforce to the Federal Highway Administration the Department‘s position that timely decision-making is in the interest of the public.
