Routes 4 and 17 Project Plans Advertised for Bids
Transportation Commissioner John J. Haley today announced that the project plans for the reconstruction of the Route 4 and 17 interchange were advertised today for prospective bidders.
"This is a first step, but an important one," the Commissioner said. "We intend to keep citizens informed every step of the way. My congratulations to NJDOT Project Management staff for reaching today’s milestone."
The $120 million reconstruction of the interchange will begin this fall. Major construction will start in January, 1999. The project has been accelerated by nearly one year, with completion scheduled for early 2001.
