Sate Gets Tidelands Approval for
Atlantic City/Brigantine Connector Project
Transportation Commissioner John J. Haley, Jr. and James A. Crawford, executive director of the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA), announced today that the Tidelands Resource Council approved the sale of previously filled tidelands necessary for the Atlantic City/Brigantine Connector project to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT).
The council’s vote, 8-0, allows the NJDOT to acquire title to 2.8 acres of riparian lands needed for construction.
"The council’s action today clears another important hurdle in the advancement of this project," Haley said. "With today’s vote, we continue along on course to begin construction of the connector roadway by the end of October," Crawford added.
