NJDOT to Readopt Rules on
Autobus and Trolley Operations
New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is proposing to readopt, with amendments, rules regulating certain aspects of autobus and trolley operations, particularly the requirements and conditions of operating an approved route and requirements for public liability insurance. These rules can be found at N.J.A.C. 16:52-1 and 16:52-2.
The NJDOT is also proposing to delete four subchapters 16:52-3 through 16:52-6 as part of this readoption because they are already functions of NJ Transit or duplicate current federal requirements.
The proposed regulation was published in the New Jersey Register today. The public has until August 16, 2000 to comment on the proposed regulation.
