Route 542 to be closed on November 7
The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will close Route 542 over the Wading River in Bass River Township, Burlington County, on Tuesday, November 7, 2000, at 8:00 PM. The road will reopen on Wednesday, November 15, 2000. Work being done includes the driving of test piles and utility relocations.
The following detour will be posted and in effect:
For eastbound traffic:
turn left onto 563
turn right onto 679
turn right onto 653
turn left onto 542
For westbound trafic:
turn right onto 653
turn north onto CR 679
turn south onto CR 563
turn left or right onto CR 542 as required
