NJDOT to conduct Incident
Management Discussion Group
The New Jersey Department of Transportation will conduct a one day incident management discussion group entitled "Helping Move Traffic in New Jersey into the 21st Century." The discussion group will be held on Monday, November 20, 2000, at Giants Stadium in the Upper Press Lounge from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. NJDOT Traffic Operations staff and New Jersey State Police staff will be in attendance.
Traffic congestion in New Jersey is an increasing source of frustration to commuters and has an impact on the quality of life. Providing a foundation for coordinated efforts to reduce delays and congestion is a major goal of the discussion group.
The discussion group is being held as a way to improve communications between traffic information services, the media, NJDOT and the State Police. A presentation will be made on NJDOT/State Police’s Incident Management Program. Presentations will also be made on towing procedures and hazardous materials clean up.
If you plan to attend, please contact State Police Sergeant First Class Robert Ricker, at 973-770-5158.
