Acting Gov. DiFrancesco will join
Commissioner Weinstein To Open the Newly Reconfirgured Interchange formerly known as the Brielle Circle
Acting Gov. Donald T. DiFrancesco and Transportation Commissioner James Weinstein will join with local officials on Thursday, May 17, in Wall Township, Monmouth County to officially open the newly reconfigured interchange that was formerly known as the Brielle Circle.
The interchange, where routes 34, 35 and 70 join, has been routinely congested. The circle elimination project is part of a larger $23 million project to widen Route 70.
The opening ceremonies will take place at the new interchange at 2:15 p.m. Event parking is in an unpaved lot just past the Route 70 entrance into the interchange. The lot is adjacent to a "Meridian Health Systems" billboard.
