Public Invited to Discuss State
Long-Range Transportation Plan
The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and NJ TRANSIT have scheduled public meetings throughout the state to encourage citizens to comment on the recently published statewide long-range transportation plan update, Transportation Choices 2025. At these meetings, representatives from NJDOT will make a brief presentation of the plan and answer questions about it.
"The future of transportation is important to all New Jerseyans," said Transportation Commissioner James Weinstein. "This is a chance for everyone to help plan how the state will respond to its transportation challenges." By the year 2025, more than one million more people will live in the state of New Jersey. Transportation Choices 2025 identifies ways to deal with this increase in the number of travelers while continuing to maintain the highest possible quality of life.
