I-80 Westbound in Morris County Remains Closed
The New Jersey Department of Transportation has closed the westbound lanes of Route 80, near Exit 39 in Denville until at least 3 p.m. today to alleviate rutting that developed on the surface of the roadway due to extreme temperatures.
Traffic is being diverted off I-80 at Exit 42 in Parsippany-Troy Hills and following Route 46 westbound back to I-80.
Route 10 and I-78 are alternative travel options.
Information is being posted on highway overhead signs and roadside variable message boards. Information can also be heard on NJDOT Highway Advisory Radio at 530-AM.
Following repairs the highway will open to traffic.
