SCS for S2707 Legislation signed by Acting
Governor Donald T DiFrancesco Appropriates
$101.3 million to the Office of Maritime Resources
SCS for S-2707, sponsored by Senator Robert Martin (R-Essex/Morris/ Passaic), appropriates $101.3 million to the Office of Maritime Resources in the Department of Transportation from the 1996 Dredging Bond Act to dredge the Port Jersey Channel.
The bill also cancels a previous appropriation of $101.3 million to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for the local share of the cost of dredging the Kill Van Kull and the Newark Bay channels.
The cancellation and appropriation of funds is due to an agreement of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to fund the local share of the Kill Van Kull project.
