Temporary detour of Route 9 southbound traffic
in Woodbridgeto begin at 3 am, Monday June 3, 2002
A temporary detour due to the reconstruction of the Route 1&9 merge will begin Monday, June 3, 2002.
Southbound traffic on Route 1&9 heading to Route 9 South will be detoured to Green Street (County Route 604) and then back to Route 9 South.
The detour will begin at 3:00 am on Monday, June 3, 2002, and last approximately three weeks.
The $14 million project involves the replacement of the bridge carrying Routes 1 over Route 9 South and reconfiguring the interchange to provide adequate number of lanes, including auxiliary lanes to and from the interchange ramps in Woodbridge Township, Middlesex County.
