Commissioner Fox to present
check to Clifton for local Road Projects

Transportation Commissioner Jamie Fox tomorrow will present a check for $450,000 to the City of Clifton for three transportation projects.
Funding for these projects is provided through the N.J. Transportation Trust Fund, which for nearly 20 years has provided a stable source of funding for transportation projects statewide.
Commissioner Fox’s approval of these grants provides a direct source of property tax relief for Clifton by providing local aid funding to help upgrade and improve the local transportation network.
The three projects are: streetscape improvements in the Van Houten Avenue Business District; database creation for Clifton’s transportation and traffic information; and development of a project to better coordinate traffic signal operations in downtown Clifton.
