NJDOT to host fourth annual
Research Showcase at Rowan University

"This year’s event will emphasize the issue of solving problems and identifying future transportation research directly affecting our state in the areas safety and security, infrastructure, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and the environment," Transportation Commissioner Jamie Fox said. "Our goal is to familiarize the public with the Department’s ongoing research and to explain how its work translates into practical uses."

Each University Research Partner will highlight ongoing research projects and a panel of subject matter experts will address these very complex topics.

The Department is constantly examining ways of delivering a safe, reliable, affordable and environmentally responsible transportation system to the citizens of New Jersey.

Today, the NJDOT’s Bureau of Research is at the forefront of turning transportation problems into solutions. The Bureau is spearheading research in the Garden State to meet the demands and challenges of renewing and maintaining our infrastructure, expanding mobility options and enhancing the economy of our communities.

The following entities have worked closely with the Bureau on its efforts: the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Rutgers University, University Transportation Research Center, Stevens Institute of Technology, Rowan University and the Federal Highway Administration.
