NJDOT announces proposed FY 2004 DBE goals
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the New Jersey Department of Transportation, pursuant to Public Law 100-17, Section 106 (c) of the Surface Transportation and Uniform Relocation Act of 1987 and 49 CFR Part 26, is proposing an annual goal of eleven and ninety-three-tenths percent (11.93%) for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation on federally-assisted FTA projects for Federal Fiscal Year 2004 (commencing October 1, 2003 to September 30, 2004). The NJDOT further proposes that it will attain eight and ninety-seven-tenths percent (8.97%) of the DBE goal through race and gender-neutral means, and two and ninety-six-tenths percent (2.96%) through race-conscious project DBE goals.
Documentation describing how the New Jersey Department of Transportation determined its annual DBE goal is available for inspection during normal business hours at the Department’s principle office listed below for a period of thirty (30) days following publication of this notice.
This is not a notice of formal rulemaking. However, both the Federal Highway Administration and the New Jersey Department of Transportation will accept comments, for informational purposes only, on the aforementioned DBE goal for a period of forty-five (45) days following the publication of this notice at the following addresses:
