Governor comments on the release
of the Blue Ribbon Commission report

I thank the Blue Ribbon Transportation Commission for putting forth thoughtful recommendations on how to renew our State's Transportation Trust Fund. As the report demonstrates, we are facing serious transportation issues that threaten our economy and quality of life.

The Transportation Trust Fund is critical to efforts to ease congestion and protect the safety of our citizens, and it is clear that we need to act quickly to replenish transportation funding.

Fixing potholes and easing congestion are not Democratic or Republican problems and I look forward to reviewing the specific recommendations in this report, and working with the bi-partisan Legislative leadership to take prompt action to make our roads safer and to ease congestion.
