Flood Update:
Detour for Route 70 in Burlington County
announced

New Jersey Department of Transportation Commissioner Jack Lettiere
recently announced the temporary detour (map
attached -pdf 220kb) for Route 70 in Burlington County.
The Route 70 Bridge, which carries the highway over the Friendship
Creek at Holly Boulevard in Southhampton Township, Burlington
County, collapsed yesterday due to the severe flooding.
The detour at Route 70 is the only remaining detour on a state
highway caused by the recent flooding. Lettiere said that a temporary
bridge will be installed on Route 70 in the next 7 to 10 days,
at which time the detour route will no longer be necessary.
Until the temporary bridge is installed motorists are advised
to take the following detour route:
Heading Eastbound on Route 70
Take Route 206 North at Red Lion Circle. Turn right on County
Route 530 through Pemberton. Turn right onto County Route 646
(New Lisbon Road) to Four Mile Circle and back onto Route 70 East.
Heading Westbound on Route 70
Make right at Four Mile Circle to County Route 646 (New Lisbon
Road). Turn left onto County Route 530 through Pemberton. Turn
left onto 206 South. Make right onto Route 70 West at Red Lion
Circle.
