Department of Transportation
proposes to readopt
regulations with amendments regarding
administration, organization, records management and information
requests
The New Jersey
Department of Transportation has recently proposed for readoption
with amendments N.J.A.C. 16:1A to reflect changes in the organizational
structure of the Department. The Department is not currently
proposing amendments to N.J.A.C. 16:1A-1.8 in compliance with
the Open Public Records Act requirements. The Department's
OPRA proposal is under development at the Governor's Office, and
the Department will subsequently file proposed amendments to N.J.A.C.
16:1A-1.8 when the review is completed.
The proposed
rule appeared in the July 6, 2004 issue of the New Jersey
Register. The public has until September 4,
2004 to comment on the proposal. Persons wishing to comment
on the proposal must provide their comments in writing to Miriam
Crum, Administrative Practice Officer, NJ Department of Transportation,
1035 Parkway Avenue, PO Box 600, Trenton, NJ 08625-0600.

is the close of the 60-day public comment period.
Comments
submitted to the Department on the proposed readoption are public
records and are available for public inspection by prior appointment
during normal Department business hours.
