The
New Jersey Maritime Pilot and Docking Pilot Commission proposes
amendments and new rules to existing regulations
(Trenton) The New Jersey Maritime Pilot and Docking Pilot Commission is
proposing amendments and new rules for N.J.A.C. 16:64, the rules
governing the licensure and regulation of Maritime Pilots and
Docking Pilots in the State of New Jersey.
The
proposed new rules would add a subchapter to establish the Commission's
oversight authority, including enforcement and adjudication.
The new rules would also set standards for the qualification,
licensing, duties and training requirements for docking pilot
apprentices.
The
proposed rule appeared in the March 20, 2006 issue of the New
Jersey Register. The public has until May 19, 2006
to comment on the proposal. Persons wishing to comment
on the proposal must provide their comments in writing to Timothy

Comments
must be postmarked or sent by telefacsimile on or before May 19,
2006, which is the close of the 60-day public comment period.
Comments
submitted to the Commission on the proposed rulemaking are public
