NJDOT announces construction on
Route 10 and Powder Mill Road in Morris County
(Trenton)- The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) today announced that construction of a new jug-handle and shoulders on Route 10 at Powder Mill Road in Parsippany-Troy Hills in Morris County will begin on June 4.
NJDOT will relocate the westbound jug-handle movement from the northeast corner to the northwest corner of the Route 10 and Powder Mill Road intersection and build new outside shoulders in both directions of Route 10. The nearly $6 million construction project is scheduled for completion in December 2007. The project will not entail detours and single lane overnight closures are possible.
NJDOT will install Variable Message Signs (VMS) to inform motorists of the upcoming construction and possible nighttime traffic pattern changes. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website, www.njcommuter.com for project updates.
