NJDOT to resurface Route 57
in Mansfield Township
(Trenton) -- Commissioner Kris Kolluri today announced that the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will resurface Route 57 in Mansfield Township, Warren County starting Monday, July 2, 2007.
“Resurfacing Route 57 will increase safety and mobility by creating a smoother roadway surface,” said Commissioner Kolluri.
The $1.3 million project will include the milling, resurfacing and joint repair of a one-mile stretch of Route 57 from Watters Road to Airport Road. The resurfacing project is scheduled for completion in early August 2007.
In order to minimize impacts upon local businesses and traffic, NJDOT will perform the work overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. Single lane closures will be implemented and traffic will follow an alternating traffic pattern through the construction zone.
Real time travel and construction information is available online at www.njcommuter.com for emergency information. Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully to protect themselves and workers in the construction zone.
