NJDOT to resurface I-80 in Warren County

(Trenton) -Commissioner Kris Kolluri today announced that the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will resurface nearly five miles of Interstate 80 from west of Knowlton Road to west of Johnsonburg Road in Knowlton, Blairstown and Hope townships, Warren County. NJDOT is scheduled to start the resurfacing project on April 21 and complete construction in September.

“As part of our fix-it-first strategy, NJDOT is investing in preserving the quality and safety of roadways such as this stretch of I-80 in Warren County,” noted Kolluri. “This project will extend the life of the pavement while minimizing traffic impacts on this vital interstate corridor.”

This concentrated effort to repair the deficient roadway will extend the lifespan of this stretch of I-80 by twelve to fifteen years. NJDOT will resurface and install new guide-rail on I-80 from milepost 8.11 to milepost 12.9. This stretch of I-80 carries three to four lanes in each direction.
