NJDOT to rehabilitate Route 29 in Hamilton and Trenton, Mercer County
(Trenton)- Commissioner Kris Kolluri today announced that the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will resurface more than one mile of Route 29 in Hamilton and Trenton, Mercer County.
Starting May 5, 2008, NJDOT will temporarily close lanes overnight. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.
On Route 29 from the bridge over Route 129 to the southern entrance of the Route 29 tunnel in Trenton, NJDOT will close one lane from Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., from Friday at 8 p.m. to Saturday at 10 a.m., from Saturday at 8 p.m. to Sunday at 10 a.m. and from Sunday at 8 p.m. to Monday at 6 a.m.
On Route 29 between Watson's Creek and Route 129 in Hamilton Township, NJDOT will close one lane on Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., and from Friday at 8 p.m. to Monday at 6 a.m. NJDOT will close up to two lanes on Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., from Friday at 8 p.m. to Saturday at 10 a.m., from Saturday at 8 p.m. to Sunday at 10 a.m., and Sunday at 8 p.m. to Monday at 6 a.m.
The project is scheduled for completion in August 2008.
