Notice of Permit Extensions
(Trenton) – Pursuant to the Permit Extension Act of 2008, the New Jersey Department of Transportation has authorized a Notice of Permit Extensions regarding the running of the approval period for Highway Access Permits issued pursuant to N.J.A.C. 16:47 and Highway Occupancy Permits issued pursuant to N.J.A.C. 16:41 and in existence during the extension period January 1, 2007 through July 1, 2010, is tolled for the duration of the extension period. The approval period under any permit approval that, but for the tolling, would have expired prior to or within six months after the end of the extension period shall not be extended more than six months beyond the tolling period. When the running of the approval period under a permit approval by the Department is tolled pursuant to the provisions of the Permit Extension Act of 2008, all terms and conditions of the original approval shall continue.
