NJDOT announces Route 202 southbound bridge deck rehabilitation over Route 31 in East Amwell
(Trenton)-- Commissioner Stephen Dilts today announced that the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will rehabilitate the Route 202 southbound bridge deck over Route 31 in East Amwell, Hunterdon County.
“NJDOT is committed to providing our residents with safer highways and extending the useful life of our infrastructure,” said Governor Jon S. Corzine.
On Thursday August 6, NJDOT will begin to widen and improve the shoulders on Route 202 southbound in preparation to shift traffic. One lane will be maintained on Route 202 southbound on Mondays to Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day, on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturdays, on Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 11 a.m. on Sundays, and on Sundays from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Mondays.
NJDOT will conduct alternating traffic patterns on Route 31 northbound and southbound as needed on Mondays to Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. the next day, on Fridays from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. on Saturdays, on Saturdays from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m., on Sundays, and on Sundays from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Mondays.
The $2.1 million project will be completed in March 2010.
