proposing to readopt rules on air safety and zoning
(Trenton) - The New Jersey Department of Transportation is proposing to readopt without amendment, N.J.A.C. 16:62, Air Safety and Zoning. The chapter establishes minimum standards for the control of airport and aeronautical hazards and standards for land use adjacent to public use airports, which the municipalities of this State are required to implement. The standards ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the general and flying public.
The proposed rule appears in the June 21, 2010 issue of the New Jersey Register. The public has until August 20, 2010 to comment on the proposal. Persons wishing to comment on the proposal must provide their comments in writing to Miriam Weeks, Administrative Practice Officer, NJ Department of Transportation, P.O. Box 600, Trenton, NJ 08625-0600. Faxes may be sent to 609.530.3841. Comments must be postmarked or sent by fax on or before August 20, 2010, which is the close of the 60-day public comment period.
Comments submitted to the Department on the proposed rulemaking are public records and are available for public inspection by appointment during normal Department business hours.
