Reconstructed Route 130 ramp to Route 30
reopens in Camden

(Trenton) - The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) announced that the ramp from Route 130 southbound to Route 30 westbound in Pennsauken and Camden, Camden County, was reopened to traffic this afternoon.

The $7.8 million Route 30 Cooper River drainage project began in August 2009.

NJDOT is installing a new drainage system with an earth berm to prevent high tide from reaching the local ramps, four new outfalls into the Cooper River, and new sidewalks and curbing along Route 30 between mileposts 2.1 and 3. Once NJDOT has completed the drainage improvements, the roadway will be resurfaced.

The project, which is expected to significantly reduce the instances in which high water causes lane closures, is anticipated to be complete in November, 2010.
