Bridge painting contract completed
along I-280 in East Orange
NJDOT contractor addressed fifteen individual bridges
(Trenton) - NJDOT officials today announced that a large-scale bridge painting contract - which addressed fifteen individual bridge structures on and above Interstate 280 in East Orange - has been completed ahead of schedule.
No further travel lane or ramp closures will be necessary on I-280 associated with this contract.
NJDOT’s painting contractor, Atsalis Brothers Painting, efficiently performed the $9.2 million bridge painting work utilizing lane closures during off-peak hours on the highway. The project has reached substantial completion approximately 120 working days ahead of the original schedule.
Painting is an important element to maintaining the structural integrity of a bridge.
