Interstate 195 westbound ramp closure
announced in Hamilton
‘Clean Up NJ’ work will require connection to I-295 southbound to be closed for five hours tomorrow
(Trenton) - NJDOT maintenance and operations crews will be engaging in a coordinated ‘Clean Up NJ’ campaign effort along the Interstate 195 westbound ramp to Interstate 295 southbound tomorrow – December 13 - in Hamilton, Mercer County.
To create a safe and efficient work zone for the crews to attack all the maintenance needs of this ramp, the connection will be closed to motorists between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Interstate 195 westbound motorists destined for I-295 southbound will be directed to continue to Route 29 northbound to S. Lamberton Road to Route 29 southbound to the ramp for I-295 southbound.
• Adequate signage, including the use of Variable Message Signs on I-195, will be in place to notify motorists of the closure and detour.
Launched in 2010, the ‘Clean Up NJ’ campaign has brought a renewed focus to the important job of improving the appearance of our roadways. NJDOT crews have been working at other ramp locations in this area, with single lane closures during similar hours.
Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for construction updates and real-time travel information.
