Route 29 southbound ramp closure announced

‘Clean Up NJ’ work will require connection to I-295 northbound to be closed for five hours tomorrow
(Trenton) - NJDOT maintenance and operations crews will be engaging in a coordinated ‘Clean Up NJ’ campaign effort along the Route 29 southbound ramp to Interstate 295 northbound tomorrow – December 14 - in Hamilton, Mercer County.
To create a safe and efficient work zone for the crews to attack all the maintenance needs of tis ramp, the connection will be closed to motorists between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Route 29 southbound motorists destined for I-295 northbound will be directed to continue to Route 206 northbound to Interstate 195 westbound to the ramp for I-295 northbound.
• Adequate signage will be in place to notify motorists of the closure and detour.
NJDOT crews have been working at other ramp locations in this area, and today finished a clean up on the I-195 westbound ramp to I-295 southbound. Launched in 2010, the ‘Clean Up NJ’ campaign has brought a renewed focus to the important job of improving the appearance of New Jersey’s state highways.
