Route 10 ramp closure at Commerce Boulevard
Temporary detours needed through July in Roxbury Township
(Trenton) - The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) today announced a temporary detour and the closing of the ramp from Route 10 westbound to Commerce Boulevard northbound in Roxbury Township, Morris County.
The ramp will be permanently closed from Monday, June 10 through July 31. A temporary detour will be implemented with traffic continuing on Route 10 westbound to Route 46 eastbound to Commerce Boulevard.
The work is part of a $4.1 million federally-funded project that began in February which aims to reduce congestion and improve safety through the implementation of upgrades along the 0.9 mile stretch of Route 10 between Main Street and Hillside Avenue, located just south of Route 46.
NJDOT anticipates the entire project, designed in-house by NJDOT engineers with consultant assistance, to be completed in spring 2014.
Dynamic message signs will notify motorists of upcoming traffic pattern changes. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check www.511nj.org for real-time travel information.
