NJDOT proposing to amend rules on traffic regulations and standards for traffic control devices
(Trenton) - The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is proposing to amend N.J.A.C. 16:27, Traffic Regulations and Standards for Traffic Control Devices. This chapter establishes the procedures for the regulation of traffic, particularly as to obtaining approvals for traffic control devices, both existing and new, and the design standards, installation and inspection of those devices.
The proposed amendments appear in the August 19, 2013 issue of the New Jersey Register. The public has until October 18, 2013 to comment on the proposal. Persons wishing to comment on the proposal must provide their comments in writing to Miriam Weeks, Administrative Practice Officer, NJ Department of Transportation, PO Box 600, Trenton, NJ 08625-0600. Fax: (609) 530-4638. Comments must be postmarked or sent by facsimile on or before October 18, 2013 which is the close of the 60-day public comment period.
Comments submitted to the Department on the proposed rulemaking are public records and are available for public inspection by prior appointment during normal Department business hours.
