New traffic signal pole installation to require
detour at Lanes Mill Road
(Trenton) - The installation of a new traffic signal pole and mastarm will require the full closure of Route 9 northbound at the intersection with Lanes Mill Road through the early morning hours of Sunday, November 24, NJDOT officials today announced.
Motorists are advised that Route 9 northbound is scheduled to be closed beginning at midnight on Saturday night, November 23 and will remain closed until around 8 a.m. Sunday morning, November 24. Route 9 northbound carries two travel lanes and a right-turn/u-turn lane at this location.
- • Route 9 northbound will be directed to turn right onto Lanes Mill Road eastbound and make a quick left for the entrance ramp back onto Route 9 northbound. The left turn from Lanes Mill Road east to the ramp will be marked out with cones and detour signs.
The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. In the case of inclement weather, the signal installation work would be rescheduled for the weekend of December 7th and 8th.
Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website www.511nj.org for construction updates and real-time travel information.
