Ramp from Route 1 southbound to I-295 southbound to be repaved in Lawrence, Mercer County

Temporary detour will be in place next week

(Trenton) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the ramp from Route 1 southbound to I-295 southbound will be closed for repaving next week in Lawrence, Mercer County. 

The ramp will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on both Monday, June 30, and Tuesday, July 1, while NJDOT’s maintenance crews mill the existing surface and repave the ramp.

Motorists will be detoured to Franklin Corner’s Road to Princeton Pike to I-95 southbound/I-295 southbound.

Variable message signs will notify motorists of the traffic pattern changes.  The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.  Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website www.511nj.org for real-time travel information.
