(Trenton) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the start of a bridge deck replacement project that will require the closure of the I-80 eastbound express ramp to I-95 southbound in Teaneck and Ridgefield Park, Bergen County.
At 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, August 15, NJDOT’s contractor, Berto Construction, Inc., is scheduled to close the ramp from I-80 eastbound express to I-95 southbound.
- Motorists on I-80 eastbound who wish to take I-95 southbound should stay in the local lanes.
- A signed detour will direct motorists on the I-80 eastbound express lanes to I-95 northbound to Exit 73 to Park Avenue to Bruce Reynolds Boulevard to Lemoine Avenue where they will cross over I-95 to Bridge Plaza North to I-95 southbound.
The $1.8 million federally-funded project will replace the bridge deck that is in poor condition. The project is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
