Senator Booker on influential appointment
New Jersey's Senator named ranking
member on transportation subcommittee
(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) Commissioner Jamie Fox today congratulated U.S. Senator Cory Booker on his appointment to serve as ranking member of the Subcommittee on Surface Transportation and Merchant Marine Infrastructure, Safety, and Security, part of the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee. The subcommittee has jurisdiction over interstate transportation policy issues.
“I congratulate Senator Booker on this important appointment,” Fox said. “The Senator’s new role will benefit all New Jersey residents as we work to improve the state’s infrastructure and fix the ailing Transportation Trust Fund. I know Cory Booker will be a vocal advocate for New Jersey on this Subcommittee, just as he has been in the Senate. I cannot stress enough the importance of maintaining and improving our roads, bridges and highways and I look forward to working with Sen. Booker in his new capacity.” |
