Department of Transportation proposing
to amend rules on Transportation Utilities
(Trenton) - The New Jersey Department of Transportation is proposing to readopt N.J.A.C. 16:65, Transportation Utilities, with amendments and new rules. These rules provide a regulatory scheme for uniformly safe, proper and adequate service by transportation utilities throughout the State. These utilities include railroads, street railways, traction railways and subways, and are identified collectively as "transportation utilities".
The proposed amendments appear in the February 17, 2015 issue of the New Jersey Register. The public has until May 15, 2015 to comment on the proposal. Persons wishing to comment on the proposal must provide their comments in writing and may do so using any one of a variety of delivery options, including a new online comment form. Send comments to:

Comments must be postmarked, sent by fax, email, or submitted online on or before May 15, 2015, which is the close of the 60-day public comment period.
