Overnight lane and ramp closures
scheduled for I-95 in Lawrence
Maintenance resurfacing work
to proceed tonight and tomorrow
(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced overnight lane closures tonight and tomorrow on I-95 northbound in Lawrence Township for maintenance resurfacing work.
Beginning tonight, December 7, at 9 p.m., NJDOT’s crews will close the left and center lane on I-95 in the area of milepost 7 until 6 a.m on Tuesday morning, December 8, to mill and pave the road.
On Tuesday, December 8 from 9 p.m., NJDOT’s crews will close the left and center lanes along with a series of ramps on I-95 in the area of milepost 7 until 6 a.m.
Exit 7B will be closed from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m. Tuesday, December 8. Motorists intending to use that exit will be sent to Exit 8B to make a U-turn.
The ramp from Route 206 southbound to I-95 Northbound/I-295 southbound will also be closed from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m. Traffic will be directed to Darrah Lane where motorists will then make a left onto CR583/Princeton Pike northbound and then continue back to I-95.
From Midnight until 6 a.m., Exit 8B from I-95 northbound will be closed and detoured. Traffic will be sent to Exit 65A/ Sloan Avenue to make a U-turn. The Ramp from CR583/Princeton Pike to I-95 Northbound/I-295 southbound will also be closed. Motorist will be directed to Franklin Corner Rd. to Route 1 northbound to I-95.
Variable message signs are being utilized throughout the project limits to provide advance notification to motorists of all traffic pattern changes associated with Direct Connection. Throughout the project, NJDOT will provide information before upcoming lane closures or traffic shifts.
