Ramp to Pfeiffer Boulevard re-opens

(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the opening of the ramp from Route 440 to Pfeiffer Boulevard/Route 184 in Perth Amboy marks the completion of the Route 440 over Route 35 bridge replacement.

Today, Monday, September 26, NJDOT contractor, Berto Construction, will open the ramp from Route 440 to Pfeiffer Boulevard/Route 184. This project included replacement of the concrete deck, bridge railings/parapets, and deck joints, as well as the construction of new concrete approach slabs.

Substructure repairs and bridge safety deficiencies were also addressed to meet current NJDOT standards. The closure began in May and necessitated two detours.
