Route 70 westbound lane closed
for emergency repairs in Cherry Hill
(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the right lane of Route 70 westbound will be closed for emergency repairs in Cherry Hill, Camden County.
Starting immediately, NJDOT’s crews will close the right lane on Route 70 westbound under the Conrail Bridge near mile post 1.8 to repair a sinkhole that developed near an inlet.
The sinkhole will be evaluated to determine the cause, then repaired and the affected stretch of road will be repaved. The lane will remain closed until further noticed and motorists are advised to expect minor delays. Two lanes will remain open.
Variable message signs are being utilized to provide advance notification to motorists of all traffic pattern changes associated with the emergency repairs.
