on Jurisdictional Assignments on
Railroad Overhead Bridges
(Trenton) - The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is proposing notice of amendment and new rules at N.J.A.C. 16:53B, Jurisdictional Assignments for Railroad Overhead Bridges. The purpose of the chapter is to establish standards for the assignment of jurisdiction over abandoned railroad overhead bridges when existing jurisdictions are uncertain or contested as required by the Railroad Overhead Bridge Act of 1988 (N.J.S.A. 27:5G-1 et seq.).
The proposal was published in the November 7, 2016 issue of New Jersey Register at 48 N.J.R. 2236(a). The comment period ends on January 6, 2017.
