Route 440 ramp to
Garden State Parkway to be closed this weekend
Work will replace bridge deck
(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the closure of the ramp from Route 440 southbound to the Garden State Parkway southbound in Woodbridge this weekend.
Beginning at 7 p.m. tonight, Friday, December 2 until 7 a.m. Monday, December 5, NJDOT’s contractor, Northeast Remsco Construction, Inc., will close the ramp from Route 440 southbound to the Garden State Parkway southbound to permit the continued replacement of the bridge deck.
Traffic traveling from Route 440 southbound to the Garden State Parkway southbound will utilize the following detour:
- Merge onto Route 9 southbound and continue on Route 9
- Continue straight onto Route 35 southbound
- Follow signs for Garden State Parkway southbound
Portable variable message signs are being utilized to provide advance notification to the public of all traffic pattern changes associated with the work.
