Detour will be in effect Friday night through Saturday
(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the closure of the Exit 67 ramp from I-95 northbound/I-295 southbound to Route 1 in both directions in Lawrence Township.
Beginning at 10 p.m. on Friday, March, 24 until 10 p.m. Saturday, March 25, NJDOT contractor, South State, Inc., will close the Exit 67 ramp from I-95 northbound/I-295 to Route 1 northbound and southbound. The ramp to Route 1 northbound will reopen Saturday evening and the ramp to Route 1 southbound will remain closed to traffic until mid-April. The closure will allow crews to install deck panels on the overpass.
Motorists on I-95 northbound/I-295 southbound attempting to use Exit 67 will be detoured to Exit 65A then directed onto I-295 northbound where they will use Exit 67B to access Route 1 northbound or southbound.
Variable message signs and lane closure signs are being utilized throughout the project limits to provide advance notification to motorists of all traffic pattern changes associated with the deck replacement project. Throughout the project, NJDOT will provide information before upcoming road closures.
The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT's traffic information website www.511nj.org for real-time travel information and for NJDOT news follow us on Twitter @NJDOT_info. |
