I-95 north/I-295 south ramp to Route 1 to be closed overnight in both directions next week in Lawrence
Detour will be in effect until Saturday morning
(Trenton) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced overnight closures next week of the Exit 67 ramp from I-95 northbound/I-295 southbound to Route1 in both directions to advance construction in Lawrence Township.
Beginning at 10 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, April 12 until 5 a.m. the next morning, and on Thursday and Friday nights, NJDOT’s contractor, South State, Inc., is scheduled to close the Exit 67 ramp from I-95 northbound/I-295 southbound to Route 1 northbound and southbound to demolish the bridge deck. If work is completed earlier, the ramp will be reopened accordingly.
Weeknight Detours
During the overnight closures, motorists on I-95 northbound/I-295 southbound attempting to use Exit 67 will be detoured to Exit 65A then directed onto I-295 northbound where they will use Exit 67B to access Route 1 northbound or southbound.
Variable message signs and lane closure signs are being utilized throughout the project limits to provide advance notification to motorists of all traffic pattern changes associated with the deck replacement project. Throughout the project, NJDOT will provide information before upcoming road closures.
The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weatheror other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT's traffic information website www.511nj.org for real-time travel information and for NJDOT news follow us on Twitter @NJDOT_info.
