NJDOT to announce new safety partnership to combat distracted driving

What:

NJDOT will unveil the Safe Phone Zone program, a public-private partnership with GEICO Insurance Co. that designates Rest Areas and Scenic Overlook parking areas as safe locations for use of cell phones for calling, texting, and surfing the web.

Directions:

From the North:
Take the NJ Turnpike south to Exit 7A to I-195 west toward Trenton
Take Exit 60A to I-295 south toward Camden
The Scenic Overlook is approximate 1.8 miles south on the right

From the South:
Take I-295 North past exit 57/Route 130
The Scenic Overlook is approximate 1.3 miles south on the right.
Walk across the pedestrian bridge to the southbound (Delaware River) side of the highway
