Route 322 ramp to Route 130 closure for
Raccoon Creek Bridge project in Gloucester County
Detour required as bridge and highway improvements advance
(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced a temporary ramp closure from Route 322 eastbound to Route 130 southbound to allow the Raccoon Creek Bridge replacement and pavement rehabilitation project to advance in Logan, Gloucester County.
Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, July 17, NJDOT’s contractor, PKF Mark III, Inc., is expected to close the Route 322 eastbound ramp to Route 130 southbound for roadway work. The ramp closure will remain in place for the next few months. The current traffic configuration of maintaining one lane on Route 130 in each direction for construction will remain. The following ramp detour will be in place:
Route 322 eastbound to Route 130 southbound Detour:
- Route 322 eastbound motorists will be directed to take the Route 130 northbound exit
- Follow Route 130 northbound to the Route 322 westbound exit
- Follow Route 322 westbound to Route 130 southbound
NJDOT has designed work on the $53 million federally-funded Raccoon Creek Bridge replacement and pavement rehabilitation project to be performed in stages. The project, which began in June 2016, is expected to be completed in late 2019.
Portable variable message signs are being utilized to provide advance notification to the motoring public of all traffic pattern changes associated with the work.
