Route 47 closed in both directions for emergency bridge repairs in Millville
Traffic detoured using Route 55 and Route 49 until further notice
(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the closure of the Route 47 Bridge over Menatico Creek for emergency repairs just north of Schooner Landing Road in Millville, Cumberland County.
NJDOT crews closed Route 47 in both directions at approximately 7:45 p.m. Thursday, August 31 for structural repairs to the bridge. Traffic will be detoured until further notice.
The following detours will be in place:
Route 47 northbound detour
- Traffic will be diverted to Route 55 northbound to Route 49 westbound to Route 47
Route 47 southbound detour
- Traffic will be diverted to Route 49 east to Route 55 south to Route 47 south
Variable message signs are being utilized to provide advance notification to motorists of all traffic pattern changes associated with the emergency repairs
