Temporary steel plate installation required until culvert is replaced
(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced a detour of Route 206 for two nights this week for temporary repairs of a culvert located between Hillside Avenue and Arreton Road in Princeton.
Beginning at 9 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, October 6 until 8 a.m. the next day, and again from 9 p.m. Saturday, October 7 until 8 a.m. the next morning, NJDOT’s contractor Mount Construction Co. Inc., will close Route 206 between Herrontown Road and Ewing Street to mill a section of the roadway, install large steel plates, and temporarily pave over the plates until a permanent repair can be scheduled.
Due to narrow roads with weight restrictions and limited lighting, the following separate detours for passenger vehicle and trucks will be in place:

The new culvert is being manufactured and will be installed at a later date. NJDOT will provide an update before the replacement work begins.
