**Winter Weather Congestion Alert**
LIFTED
State highways are in good condition following the storm
Motorists may resume normal travel
(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials this morning announced the Winter Weather Congestion Alert has been lifted as State Highways are in good condition following the overnight storm, and motorists may resume normal travel.
More than 800 NJDOT and contractor trucks worked throughout the night to get roads clear and safe for the Friday morning commute. NJDOT will continue to coordinate with NJ Transit and the toll road authorities as this storm ends and we prepare for the forecasted storm this weekend.
Motorists are reminded to clear snow and ice off your vehicle before driving. Roads are wet and there may be areas that are slick or slippery. Continue to use caution and drive safely as road conditions may change quickly.
Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT's traffic information website www.511nj.org for real-time travel information and for NJDOT news and updates follow us on the NJDOT Facebook page or on Twitter @NJDOT_info.
