Route 130 overnight lane closures in both directions as Doctors Creek and Crosswicks Creek bridge project advances
Closures necessary to shift traffic to before final road configuration
(Trenton) -
New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the overnight lane closure tonight of northbound and southbound of Route 130 between Church Street and Hogback Road as the bridge replacement project nears completion in Mercer County.
Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, September 6, until 8 a.m. tomorrow Saturday, September 7, NJDOT’s contractor, Earle Asphalt Co., is expected to close the left lane in both directions on Route 130 between Church Street/CR609 and Hogback Road in Hamilton to work on the median. At least one lane on Route 130 traffic in each direction will be maintained.
The final stage of the project will involve removing all remaining barriers along northbound and southbound Route 130, as well as median restoration work before shifting into its final traffic configuration. Construction is anticipated to be completed by October 2019.
The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT's traffic information website www.511nj.org for real-time travel information and for NJDOT news follow us on Twitter @NJDOT_info or on the NJDOT Facebook page.
